Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors – Women’s Retreat

September 16 @ 4:30 pm - September 18 @ 11:00 am

Ladies come and join us for a wonderful weekend of friendship and learning at the beautiful Kingfisher Bay Retreat Centre on Stony Lake north of Peterborough. Our keynote speaker is Michael Doxtater, he is the Director, Saagajiwe — of Indigenous Creative Practice at the Toronto Metropolitan University (Formally Ryerson University).

Our learning will focus on making a difference, on a way forward toward living into right relations with the indigenous neighbours on turtle island. Lots of time for discussion, and questions as we share the weekend with Michael. Join us for drumming, crafts, canoeing, smudge, visit the Petroglyphs and also the Curve Lake Pow Wow; lots of options for you to enjoy and even a hot tub!

You will be asked to make a personal commitment … an achievable goal at the end of the weekend toward making a difference, one person at a time.

We thank ECORC for their support of this conference with a Doing Mission Together grant.

The retreat will start with dinner on Friday Sept 16th and end at 11:00am on Sunday Sept 18th – with the option to travel to the Curve Lake pow wow or other places in the area. For more information please contact Kathleen Whyte at (705) 768-3555 or kwhyte53@gmail.com.

Please note that space is limited – please use this link to register: https://forms.gle/2JF499saQgqAyCuh9

We hope you can join us!
