We have a large property with lots of natural features to share. Our gardens are well-kept and include areas such as the butterfly garden\, native plant garden\, and the children’s garden. In partnership with AIDS Committee of Durham Region\, we have a vegetable garden to supply their patrons with fresh produce. \nAt the rear of the property\, we boast a mix of woodlands\, meadows\, wetlands\, and a pond. It’s nature’s perfect recipe for every level of flora and fauna. Trails form loops through the landscape and offering relaxed paths for walking and seating areas for sitting and contemplating the natural environment.”

DESCRIPTION:PIE Day 2025 \nGreenbank United Church is proud to announce that we will be participating in PIE Day 2025! \nThe acronym PIE stands for Public\, Intentional\, and Explicit: the standard for an affirming welcome of 2SLGBTQIA+ people. PIE represents three ways for us to test just how real our Affirmation and celebration of gender or sexual diversity is. Each of the three concepts supports the others. \nPublic = Being out and proud!\nIntentional = Putting thought and resources into action!\nExplicit = Not Having to Wonder! \nThis year we have a fundraiser and a dinner for PIE Day. \nShepherd’s Pie Fundraiser \nOur annual PIE Day fundraiser is back and we’re happy to offer you shepherd’s pies made locally by the culinary program at Port Perry High School. When you buy a Shepherd’s Pie\, whether for yourself or a friend\, the profits will be dedicated to supporting an Affirming Scholarship. This scholarship aims to assist a student actively engaged in diversity activism and community involvement\, specifically benefitting our local LGBTQ2S+ youth. \nThe pies are $20 each. \nAll orders must be placed before February 16\, 2025. DESCRIPTION:Find your rainbow socks for the second annual Brighton Pride walk and worship service\, Sunday June 4 at 10:00 a.m. \nThe walk will begin at 10 a.m. on the rainbow steps of Trinity St Andrew’s United Church (TSAUC)\, 56 Prince Edward Street\, make its way to the rainbow crosswalk in front of East Northumberland Secondary School\, then wind back to the colourful bench in front of Sobeys before arriving at Memorial Park for the church service at 10:30 a.m. \nThe walk and service are free\, but donations are always welcome. \nExpect the music of Lady Gaga\, Brandi Carlile and Cyndi Lauder. And perhaps a few guest musicians. \nEveryone is invited to bring their own lawn chairs and umbrellas to protect against the sun.
