SUMMARY:2023 ECORC's Spring Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Greetings\, \nIt is with great pleasure that I extend this invitation to you for an upcoming in-person hybrid meeting centered around the theme of Unity\, Diversity\, and Love – Unleashing the Power of Spiritual Gifts. \nWe believe that there is a great power that lies within the diversity of our spiritual gifts\, and that when we come together in unity\, we can unleash that power and achieve great things. On behalf of the East Central Ontario Regional Council\, we invite you to join us as we explore how we can use our spiritual gifts to spread love\, promote unity\, and celebrate diversity. \nWe will gather at Trinity United Church in Cobourg on Friday\, May 5th and Saturday\, May 6th. Doors will open for registration at 9am on both Friday and Saturday. \nTrinity United Church is located at 284 Division St. Cobourg\, ON K9A 3R1. From Highway 401\, exit at County Rd. 45/Division St. (exit #474) and proceed south on Division St. into the center of the town. The church is located at 284 Division St. on the southeast corner of Division St. and Chapel St. There is a large municipal parking immediately to the south of the church. There is wheelchair access from the Division St. parking lot. \nFriday’s gathering will begin at 10am and conclude at approximately 6pm and will include pre-gathering and afternoon bio-break tea\, coffee\, juice and snacks and will also include a catered luncheon. For those joining us in person on Friday\, we would like to send the information for our luncheon to the caterer on April 26th. \nSaturday’s gathering will begin at 10am and conclude at approximately 12pm and will include pre-gathering tea\, coffee\, juice and snacks. \nCelebration of Ministry Service: Following the conclusion of our Spring Annual Meeting\, you are invited to join us on Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm as we gather in community to ordain new Ordinands with a reception to follow. Please note that those joining us on Zoom\, a NEW link will be sent out at the conclusion of our Spring Annual Meeting.  \nWe hope that you will join us for this important gathering\, as we seek to deepen our understanding of the power of spiritual gifts\, and how we can use them to make a positive impact in our communities. \nPlease use the registration form below to confirm your attendance\, and please don’t hesitate to contact Karen Wilson at kwilson@united-church.ca if you have any questions or concerns. \nPlease watch your inbox for meeting documents and agenda to follow closer to the meeting. SUMMARY:Hiawatha First Nation is hosting their 27th Annual Traditional Powwow
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate our culture with us on the Saturday and Sunday of the Victoria Day weekend at our Annual Traditional Powwow.  This event takes place at the Lakeview Ceremonial Grounds located at 126 Paudash Street. Grand Entry is at noon each day.  Enjoy browsing at the many craft vendors and tasting the delicious traditional cuisine at some of the food vendors. Be delighted by the traditional dancing\, singing and drumming. Join in the intertribal dances. Embrace this celebration! Admission fees are as follows: ages 0-6 are  free\, ages 7 – 12  are $5\, ages 13 – 59 are $8\, and 60 years and over are free. Gates open at 11am.  See you there!!
