SUMMARY:Scams and Fraud Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Fraud is the number one crime against older Canadians. These con artists can use your credit card to make purchases\, withdraw money from your bank account\, and some emails asking for your support can look like they are coming from a person or organization you know well. But here’s the clincher! Did you know that they can even take out a loan or mortgage in your name or take over the title of your home\, retail space\, or timeshare? This type of fraud has become more sophisticated with the advances in technology. \nDon’t be left hung out to dry! \nThe Peterborough Police will explain to you how you can protect yourself. \nMark Street United Church\n90 Hunter St. E.\nPeterborough\, ON\nwww.markstreetunited.ca \nMonday\, September 15th \n1:30 to 3:00 p.m. \nPlease feel free to share this information with your family\, friends\, and neighbours. \nBrought to you by the Mark Street Outreach Committee

SUMMARY:Labyrinth Circle
DESCRIPTION:The Labyrinth Circle of Westminster is pleased to announce that the labyrinth will be open Wednesday July 2 from 7:00 to 8:30. \nIn the Middle Ages the labyrinth walk was considered a form of pilgrimage for those believers who were unable to make the journey to the Holy Land. It remains a beautiful way to affirm your beliefs. In a world that can feel overwhelming\, take time to still your mind and enjoy a few moments of peace. Come and walk the healing path to renew mind\, body\, and spirit. All are welcome. \n1850 Rossland Rd E\, Whitby\, ON L1N 3P2

SUMMARY:100 Tables
DESCRIPTION:“100 Tables” is an invitation to the community to come share our vision for stewardship of our natural environment by spending time in our many gardens or walking our trails. We have a large property with lots of natural features to share. Our gardens are well-kept and include areas such as the butterfly garden\, native plant garden\, and the children’s garden. In partnership with AIDS Committee of Durham Region\, we have a vegetable garden to supply their patrons with fresh produce. \nAt the rear of the property\, we boast a mix of woodlands\, meadows\, wetlands\, and a pond. It’s nature’s perfect recipe for every level of flora and fauna. Trails form loops through the landscape and offering relaxed paths for walking and seating areas for sitting and contemplating the natural environment.”
