SUMMARY:Curve Lake Pow Wow
DESCRIPTION:Faith United in Courtice is going to the Curve Lake Pow Wow on Saturday\, Sept 19th. Sometimes things can be scary the first time\, so let’s go together! This year\, transportation will be by carpooling. We recommend being at the grounds by 11 am. The grand entry is at noon\, weather permitting. We are meeting at Faith United\, 1778 Nash Road\, Courtice\, between 9:30 and 9:45 am and will leave around 10-ish. If another community of faith would like to join us\, we are looking for drivers and passengers. The other option is to start a carpool from your church. There is a minimal cost for those ages 6 to 59.\n\nInformation Package \nSchedule: \n\nPlease arrive at Faith United by 9:30 if driving\nTarget departure: 10:00 am and arrival: 11:00 am\nGrand Entry at noon\, maybe delayed if it rains\nEstimated departure time varies\n\nArrival information: \n\nEntry fee for those between the ages of 6 and 59\nTransportation from the car park to the ground entrance is provided\n\nWhat to Bring \n\nCheck the weather and dress accordingly – this event occurs rain or shine\nBring a lawn chair\, maybe a cushion for comfort\, and we can gather under the canopy of trees together\nConsider bringing suntan lotion and bug repellent\nUmbrella or sun umbrella\nConsider bringing what you wish to drink\n\nWhat to Eat \n\nLunch and snacks are available from food vendors for a fee\, or bring your own\n\nWhat to consider \n\nEvent takes place in Curve Lake Lime Kiln Park\nPortable washrooms\n\nCheck out Visitor Etiquette at: https://curvelakepowwow.com/visitor-etiquette/ \n“While every Pow Wow is different\, respect is the common thread to good Pow Wow etiquette\, and an appreciation of the deep cultural importance of Pow Wows to the First Nations people is an ideal first step to guiding your actions and behaviour at our event.” \nALL ARE WELCOME
