May 31 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

100th CELEBRATION in PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY

The United Churches of Prince Edward County invite you and yours to a grand celebration of the centennial year of The United Church of Canada, on Saturday, May 31st, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the iconic Crystal Palace in Picton, Ontario.

Worship at 10 a.m. Special guest preacher Rev. Dr. Jeff Crittenden, United Church minister, co-founder of the CPT – Centre for Practical Theology and author of the book “Leisure Resurrected.” With invited musical guest, award-winning Canadian out singer-songwriter Danah-Lee. Including musical gifts of the “County United Choir” and the “Chapel Street Singers.”

Around noon, the Aurora Borealis Community Choir (of The Department of Illumination) will sing us into a Community Gratitude Ceremony, where each United Church will uplift one of their non-profit community partners.
Book signing of “Leisure Resurrected,” $30 with $10 from each sale going to a local non-profit. Cake cutting, entertainment and more.

This event is made possible thanks to a grant from The United Church of Canada Foundation and the generosity of the United Churches of Prince Edward County. Family friendly, 2S-LGBTQAI+ affirming, American sign language translation (tbc) and mobility accessible. All are warmly welcome.

We give thanks for the Mohawk people of nearby Tyendinaga who continue to enrich our lives with culture, traditions, language, spirituality and commitment to care for creation.
