The Cathedral of the Trees – Algonquin Park Trailer

Time at Algonquin Park to enjoy and be renewed by the wonders of this jewel of nature and to provide a ministry that helps others to do and express the same. We celebrate the third year of this official combined network of the two Regional Councils- East Central Ontario and Eastern Ontario Outaouais.

Cathedral of the Trees 2026

Hello folks!
Sorry for our delay in opening up this application process for this summer – we have faced some funding challenges, but we hope that we have those sorted out. As such, we have a couple of caveats to share with you this year.

First, we have not raised the fees for this ministry in many years and so this year the steering committee has decided to offer a sliding scale of sorts. This year, we are asking folks to send what they are able: $100-300. Anything extra will be in the bank for operating expenses (like cleaning products, propane, site fees, insurance etc).

Second, if we hear that we are not getting the funding that we hope we will be getting, we may have to ask our chaplains to send $300 each OR we will have to cancel Cathedral of the Trees this summer. We sincerely hope that we do not have to do this.
Our dates this year are July 3rd to August 21st.  Folks who would like to have the first week starting July 3rd, there will be some ‘opening up’ tasks that may take a bit of elbow grease (wiping down surfaces mostly, possibly washing the floors, but the trailer will be leveled and the awning out when you get there).
