There are various sources for funding opportunities & grants via the United Church of Canada.
United Church of Canada – Financial Resources Handbook
Updated for 2019, the Financial Resources Handbook provides a summary of the various ways the United Church of Canada’s Capital Assistance Fund invests in the renewal and development of congregations, camps, education centres, community ministries, and chaplaincies. Through the generosity of many faithful members and adherents who give to the Mission and Service Fund and provide capital gifts and bequests, financial resources are available to assist with projects that will strengthen the ability of faith communities to participate in God’s mission locally and globally.
The United Church of Canada’s Financial Support Group (FSG) meets monthly at the General Council Office to receive and review all requests for Capital Assistance. Please note that applications must be approved by the Regional Council to be considered. Some of the types of funding available from the Capital Assistance Fund include:
- Loans and Grants
- Capital Assistance Loans
- Technology Grants
- Church Modernization Grants
- Manse Modernization Grants
- Congregational Development Fund (CDF)
