Stewardship and Gifts
Generosity is our response to God’s call to be compassionate disciples. Together, the people of the United Church live out Jesus’ vision and values by caring for each other and the world. Each and every day, we join God’s life-changing mission to make ourselves, our community and our world more peaceful, just and loving for everyone. “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10b)
Called to Be the Church: The Journey – December 2024 Update
Our Latest Stewardship Blog – Vicki Nelson helps us remember that stewardship is not about the budget! How I Stopping Worrying and Learned to Ignore the Budget.
Gifts with Vision – Here is the latest: First of all, great news – the current catalogue and website will continue until the end of December 2024! That means there’s more time to support your favourites, especially for Christmas giving. For the remainder of 2024 you can see all the gifts on the website here.
While we celebrate the United Church of Canada’s 100th anniversary in 2025, Gifts with Vision will be undergoing a transformation, returning with a focused selection of 12 carefully selected gifts – and still available both online and in print (after postal strike). Each gift will be featured in Mission and Service Stories throughout the year, sharing the deep impact your gifts have.
Thank you for supporting our partners through Gifts with Vision. Your kindness transforms lives, creates hope, and builds brighter futures for communities in need.
Mission and Service – 2024 is drawing to a close and on behalf of Mission and Service we want to thank you for your contributions. The money received from Communities of Faith like yours enables us to feed hungry children, help those devastated by natural disasters and war and fund the vital work our partners are doing.
Just in case the postal strike continues into the new year, we want you to know that you can send your 2024 M and S gifts by electronic transfer. For more information on how to do this, or for any of your Mission and Service questions, please give us a call at 1-800-465-3771.
