Cambridge Street United Church in Lindsay, ON, is seeking a compassionate and friendly individual to take on the role of Pastoral Care & Youth Ministry. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact across all generations of our congregation, blending pastoral care with youth engagement.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide Pastoral Care: Visit congregation members in their homes, nursing and retirement facilities, and hospitals, offering spiritual guidance and support, as well as end of life care.
•Youth Engagement: Connect with young people and their families to foster strong relationships and provide mentorship, helping the youth grow in their faith.
•Community Outreach: Reach out to existing church families, enhance marketing and communication channels, and build awareness within the wider community to attract new families.
•Event Organization: Plan and oversee special events, outings, and activities tailored for the youth.
Working Conditions
•Position hours: 32 hours per week
•Compensation: Rate of pay to be determined commensurate with experience
•Mileage reimbursement: Monthly as per UCOC established rate
