Scams and Fraud Workshop
Fraud is the number one crime against older Canadians. These con artists can use your credit card to make purchases, withdraw money from your bank account, and some emails asking for your support can look like they are coming from a person or organization you know well. But here’s the clincher! Did you know that they can even take out a loan or mortgage in your name or take over the title of your home, retail space, or timeshare? This type of fraud has become more sophisticated with the advances in technology.
