My name is Rev. Tori Mullin, and I am the new Growth Animator for Eastern Ontario and Quebec, this includes the Regional Councils of Eastern Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario Outaouais, and Nakonha:ka. Our Growth Animators are focused on renewal and invitation, an exciting challenge as we get close to our 100th year as a denomination!

As a church we have discerned that God is calling us to Deep Spirituality, Bold Discipleship, and Daring Justice. My work will be focused on how living into this call can strengthen our invitation into the life and work of our communities of faith.

Although I live in Southern New Brunswick with my partner and child, I am very familiar with these regions. Having lived in both Ottawa and Montreal previously. I have fond memories from my time there, maintaining strong connections with friends and colleagues. I am also a graduate of the United Theological College in Montreal (now United Studies at DIO).

My passion for growth and invitation began at a young age, growing up in church plants. I bring a love for creative worship and neighbourhood-based ministry to my work. I am excited to get to know our communities of faith, those within church buildings and those forming in new spaces. I see God at work in the world around us, cultivating newness among us. Whether that be a renewal project in a historic church, forming a new community of faith, or a new way of doing things we’ve never tried before!

You may know me from my family ministry resource Jesus, Glue & Glitter. I am always wondering about ways we can enliven the Jesus Story for folks of all ages. I bring my love of music, art, and poetry to my ministry, as well as my passion for 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion and accessibility. Although my French skills need work, I also believe multilingual ministry is the present and future of our faith communities, so please don’t hesitate to say bonjour!

I look forward to getting to know you, working alongside you, and celebrating all God is doing amongst us. I work remotely from NB but am excited to have a phone call or video chat with you about your community of faith starting in February
