Greenbank United Church is proud to announce that we will be participating in PIE Day 2025!
The acronym PIE stands for Public, Intentional, and Explicit: the standard for an affirming welcome of 2SLGBTQIA+ people. PIE represents three ways for us to test just how real our Affirmation and celebration of gender or sexual diversity is. Each of the three concepts supports the others.
Public = Being out and proud!
Intentional = Putting thought and resources into action!
Explicit = Not Having to Wonder!
This year we have a fundraiser and a dinner for PIE Day.
Shepherd’s Pie Fundraiser
Our annual PIE Day fundraiser is back and we’re happy to offer you shepherd’s pies made locally by the culinary program at Port Perry High School. When you buy a Shepherd’s Pie, whether for yourself or a friend, the profits will be dedicated to supporting an Affirming Scholarship. This scholarship aims to assist a student actively engaged in diversity activism and community involvement, specifically benefitting our local LGBTQ2S+ youth.
The pies are $20 each.
