Investment in Leaders Fund

 

We are excited to continue the ECORC Investment in Leaders Fund for 2024.

The Assembly of Elders of the East Central Ontario Regional Council (ECORC) have approved the request of the Formation, Nurture and Justice Team to create an ECORC Investment in Leader Fund.

The submission form can be found on this page. It will allow you to upload documents, including a void cheque for banking.

 

Background

To provide both ministry personnel and lay leaders with financial assistance for learning events, grants through the Investment in Leaders Fund are available for the 2024 calendar year.

Criteria for selection

One of the guiding criteria adopted is an effort to share equitably the funding allotted to our Regional Council. Therefore, grants will be limited to one-third (1/3) of the associated costs, to a limit of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250).  There is no longer an expectation that the Community of Faith and applicant must share the remaining costs equally.

 

  • Applications can only be received by an individual once per calendar year.
  • At least half (1/2) of the entire fund is reserved for grants to lay leaders.

    Learning Event Expenses:

    Use the United Church of Canada rate (The rate has been set at $0.55 per km as of Jan 1, 2024)

    One application per year. Applications will be reviewed by Sharon Hull. You will receive confirmation of approval.
    Once I have been approved, I will pay and submit my receipts.*

    Sharing the experience*
    I will submit a report of the outcome of the learning event. The report will be submitted to the Formation, Nurture and Justice team by sending it to Sharon Hull. The report can be in written form or video and will be shared on the ECO RC website / ECO RC weekly newsletter and other social media.

    With the onset of COVID-19, payments are being made strictly by direct deposit and no cheques are being issued. Please attach a void cheque or direct deposit form (now available through your bank app). There is an option to upload files and supporting documentation later in this form.
