As we celebrate the last 100 years of the United Church of Canada, we also need to spend some time reflecting on the future and how we might shape the next decade. Join us at our Regional Council gathering on May 23rd and 24th as we celebrate, reflect, honour and plan together at St. Paul’s United Church and St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church located at 178 Church St, Bowmanville. Our meeting will focus on choosing our leaders, hearing about the work of the Regional Council over the last year in light of our strategic plan, and responding to the projections of where our church will be in 2035. On the evening of May 23rd, we will celebrate the different ministries of the church, honour retirements, commemorate those we’ve lost, and ordain two new ministers. Any and all members and adherents of the United Church in our region are welcome to join the conversation about the future on the afternoon of Saturday, May 24th at approximately 2pm.
